More Website Improvements

 

Arnott recently updated its website to include several requested features such as new ways to search for products and information, automatic translation of pages for non-English speaking visitors, larger part images and the addition of Original Equipment part numbers.

 

Beside the ShowMeTheParts eCatalog mentioned above, Arnott has added a text search box which is found on the top left of most pages and enables users to quickly search for parts, manuals, key information and more. The new translation tool automatically pops up on non-English browsers and provides one-click access to translate an Arnott web page into any one of 64 languages using Google Translate. Rebuilt Audi A8 Front Air Shocks Now Available from Arnott

Arnott Inc. now offers rebuilt front air shocks for the 2004-2010 Audi A8 Sedan (both Normal & Sport Suspensions).

 

Arnott's remanufactured A8 air shocks feature new rubber Continental Contitech air spring bladders and CNC machined aluminum upper housings along with an anodized aluminum finish. The shocks come pre-assembled for easy installation and retail for $698.50 each, plus a refundable $300 core charge. Arnott's rebuilt Audi A8 shocks come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Average Age of Vehicles Reaches Record High

 

 

According to a report by Polk, the worldwide leader in automotive intelligence, the average age of cars and light trucks has increased to a record 10.8 years. The age of passenger cars is now at 11.1 years while light trucks, which include pickups and SUVs, jumped to 10.4 years.

 

This is good news for parts stores and independent repair facilities since they should see increased sales of items such as aftermarket air suspension products. According to Mark Seng, global aftermarket practice leader at Polk, "The increasing age of the vehicle fleet, together with the increasing length of ownership, offers significant business growth opportunity for the automotive aftermarket."

 

Polk reported that the average length of ownership of vehicles is over 53 months, an 18-month increase since 2001. With original equipment air suspension systems lasting anywhere from 80,000 - 100,000 miles, owners who hold onto their vehicles or purchase used luxury cars and SUVs will have to replace air suspension products at least once if not more in the lifetime of their vehicle.
