Steering wheel problem

Im in trouble because im trying a steering wheel retrofit and everything goes fine until the end when i was trying to put the OEM Airbag on the new steering wheel (i had to move the bottons and the airbag from the old steering wheel to the new one) and after a several push to put it in i saw at the bottom of the airbag there are a little white plastic peace inside like “stuck” i think, because the new steering wheel have the same plastic who have to go in that hole but it cant because there is already that plastic inside in there hole of the airbag who it comes from the old steering wheel. ill sent pictures. The first picture is the old steering wheel, and the other 2 are picture of the new one already connected to the car and the airbag connected too. Is that thing normal i did something wrong?

My car is an Audi A3 8Y (2021)
