  1. Thanks for your detailed instructions and sorry for my lack of Spanish, your pictures helped me a lot, I managed to remove the hood from the ABS cable without breaking it Having cut the tie-wrap from around the cables at the bottom, I used a thin blade to prise the hood off at the top, then I inserted a wide tie wrap into the slot on one side of the hood, and out through the other side (checking with a torch no wires were trapped) I used this large tie-wrap as a handle to pull the hood, with a finger inserted from the bottom where the wires enter to force the side/bottom clips apart) I then removed the rubber bungs from holes 8 and 16 with a pin, and could see the purple plastic which would latch the pins in place, so it was clear how to slide the purple clips inwards to open the slots for the pins, I inserted them with a nice satisfying click as they went home, then slid back the purple plastic to hold the pins in place. Having marked the pins with two coloured pieces of heat shrink tube so I know which is 8 and which is 16, I replaced the hood, and looped a new small tie-wrap around the cables at the bottom I'm all ready to solder the cables to my wires from the new hold switch in the morning. Feel free to email andy AT burns DOT net if I can assist anyone.
