Más fotos y esta vez si, info!!

The Volkswagen Crossgolf will compete with the likes of the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan Xtrail in the increasingly crowded compact SUV sector. It will be followed by an even cheaper 4x4 based on the forthcoming Fox city car, which is expected to follow the same naming pattern and be called Crossfox.

Based on the recently unveiled GolfPlus compact MPV, the newcomer will get a strengthened version of the VW's 4MOTION all-wheel drive and a raised ride height. While this will give some off-road ability, the car will be aimed at those seeking an on-road lifestyle vehicle.

Inside, the CrossGolf will benefit from the same cabin practicality as the people carrier, with plenty of cubby space and a roomy five-seater arrangement. There will be no seven-seat option, as that would cause too much competition with the larger Touran. However, as with its stablemate, the CrossGolf's luggage capacity will be impressive, with lots of underfloor stowage to complement the existing space behind the rear chairs. Safety will be a top priority, too, with active front headrests fitted as standard, plus a full quota of six airbags.
