al margen de como quedará la parte trasera, la delantera parece la del RS6.

Mismos retrovisores, mismos faros (excepto el color del intermitente) y rejilla sin partir para la matricula.

Audi’s A6 will undergo a minor facelift for the 2009 model year, and then an all-new A6 will arrive during the 2011 calendar year. A new round of spy photos show the 2009 update, in RS6 form and A6 Avant guise. These images show the new cars without any camouflage.

 

 

The facelift for 2009 focuses primarily on an update to the car's lighting systems. The taillights have been redesigned with R8-inspired lenses, and a striking LED treatment that effectively cut through the haze of blowing snow.

 

Our photos from “somewhere” in Germany show an A6 sedan (an RS6 to be precise) and an A6 Avant - with no disguise at all! The ‘09 facelift will consist of a slightly redesigned front bumper, new rectangular fog lamps and larger air-intakes left and right of the grille.

 

The new rear lights look significantly more modern than the outgoing tail-lamps. Changes to the front fascia are also in store, with a slightly revised grille and a new lower intake/fog lamp assembly providing a slightly new look.

 

In the back, the shape of the taillights will be modified for the sedan, and the layout of the lamps will be re-designed as well — incorporating a white stripe over almost the whole width of the units.

Han aparecido unas supuestas fotos espía del nuevo RS6 berlina que de confirmarse que no son un chop nos adelantarían las formas de la nueva trasera del A6 berlina...

Se ha filtrado en internet información muy interesante acerca de la nueva generación del Audi A6, rival del BMW Serie 5 y Mercedes Clase E. Llegará a los principales salones de automóvil en el año 2010 con una estética muy similar a la mostrada en la recreación expuesta.

 

Una de las novedades de mayor importancia será que contará con una estructura realizada en gran parte en aluminio que recibe el nombre de “Aluminium and Steel Spaceframe” (ASF II) y que aumenta en un 50% su rigidez torsional. Además, gracias a la construcción con materiales ligeros de la nueva estructura, la rebaja de peso respecto a la actual es de un 50%. Este sistema se empleará en otros modelos en desarrollo concretos de la marca de los aros, tales como el nuevo Q7, que permitirá reducir 300 kilogramos de su peso en báscula .

 

Al igual que ocurre en la generación actual, las versiones de acceso a la gama estarán disponibles con tracción delantera, y el resto con tracción integral. Su gama de mecánicas estará compuesta por dos motores diésel TDI (ambos V6) y la gama de gasolina será la más amplia y potente, contando con motores comprendidos entre los 2.8 litros de cilindrada y los 5.2 litros.

A new Audi, more promises of better handling?

 

Of course. Audi has made great strides in closing the gap between its front-drive execs and those sharper rear-drive rivals from Munich and Stuttgart. The A6 will use the group’s new MLB components set for models with longitudinal engines, so there will be new suspension, steering, brakes, Quattro and an engine mounted further back in the chassis for better balance.

 

 

It’s still early days for the engine line-up, but our sources suggest we can expect the following power choices:

 

• 2.8 V6 FSI, 190bhp

• 2.8 V6 FSI, 224bhp

• 3.2 V6 FSI, 265bhp

• 4.2 V8 FSI, 350bhp

• 5.2 V10 FSI, 420bhp (S6)

• 5.0 V10 FSI Biturbo, 580bhp (RS7)

 

Plus a pair of diesels:

 

2.7 V6 TDI, 185bhp

3.0 V6 TDI, 238bhp
